TikTok is a sharing app where people could upload or watch short-form video. It welcomes 13 years old plus users to create and share 15-second based videos. TikTok is creat by Bytedance, China. They have version of app, TikTok and Douyin. Both of the visions provides a wide range of videos, expanding it to comedy, dance, curiosities, gags, and even profession in each filed. The reason why TikTok sperate all over the world because it is convivence to watch in phone.
After reading the article, TikTok: Beyond the Frivolous, I realized Tiktok is new forms of communicating. By uploading the video, people share their insights, experiences or anything. During the sharing the process, people build the connection with someone who are not familiar with. They even developing sense of belonging when they agree with others. In fact, this model can be use in professional. I can get in touch with those professional in my filed by searching the right hashtag. I could make comment, send message to them. This is great way to associated with the professional since I have no connections to these awesome people in my personal life.
TikTok also are available for personal professional development. For instance, I could post my learning of my professional to the TikTok. It helps people who care this filed to get a basic understanding. In addition, video is a fun way to create connection, and it is more accessible for people to accept it.
